It’s one of Chanhassen’s best kept secrets.

For the average commuter, the simple, rustic “Camp Tanadoona” sign
on the west side of Highway 41 might elicit fleeting curiosity;
eventually, though, it just blends into the scenery.

The CW Twin Cities recently interviewed local woman Raina Hein, who is currently in Cycle 14 of the Tyra Banks' reality show "America's Next Top Model" (ANTM). Click here to see her interview.

call for installation of breath-interlock systems on vehicles owned by

The CEOs of some of the region’s most exciting new emerging companies were seated at a Chanhassen board room table last week. Their companies, Spraynstay, Equiptanautics, Treats To Go, Relaxation Gym, Vidz for Kidz, and Tiles and Solar Panels, are poised to launch innovative services and products. They’re pitching their stock to a visitor.

The main fund used to pay for street reconstruction projects in the city is projected to run a deficit by 2015.

Alarming, yes, but not unprecedented.

Lowry Nature Center, Victoria, celebrates Pioneer Heritage Festival, noon to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 19 at the historic Grimm Farm. Activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, live fiddle music, apple cidering, grass doll making and shultuten making (a German paper craft), traditional pioneer chores and games (stilts, marbles, haystack climbing, clothes washing, rug beating, etc.), food for sale, a wood carver’s demonstration table, and bread and cookie baking on the wood stove.

   Three years ago, Steve and Deb Zeller of Victoria began realizing a long time dream, to own a winery. The couple always shared an appreciation for wine and in the early years participated in passport weekends, traveling to vineyard in California where members visited wineries, learned about grapes and sampled wines.
   Deb described it as an indelible experience, which was cut short only because they were transferred to Europe.
