The 2008 Chaska High School varsity cheerleading team participated in a recent weekend camp at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

More than 20 high school cheer teams attended and Chaska was the proud recipient of the “Superior Team” trophy.

“The girls put in long hours of practice and learned many new stunts and cheers,” CHS cheerleading coach Sue Downs said.

Sarah Ehresman and Katie Walsh were named “All-Star” cheerleaders at the camp.

The cheerleading team is holding a car wash fundraiser at Ron Brown’s Self-Serve car wash location in Chanhassen on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will go toward ‘warmer’ warm-ups for the upcoming Chaska football season.
