The Minnesota Streetcar Museum, one of the few “living history” museums in the Twin Cities, needs volunteers to operate the historic Minnesota streetcars at its Excelsior Streetcar Line demonstration railway.

Minnesota doesn’t have its own Declaration of Independence, but if it did, there’s no doubt that the unalienable rights would include fishing.
However, some local residents worry that seniors are missing out on the action. So a group of volunteers and the Chaska Parks and Recreation Department, is starting a “Let’s Go Fishing with Seniors” Chaska chapter.

When Jim Wiebusch began planning for his first Man Cave party, he admits some of his best buddies weren’t so sure about it.
One of them texted him: “Is this like a Tupperware party, for men?”
“No, it’s like a Mary Kay party,” Wiebusch replied.
Edina Realty is helping raise awareness for hunger issues and collecting food and other donations for the state’s food shelves by participating in Minnesota FoodShare’s March Campaign, the largest food drive in the state. Throughout March, participating Minnesota Edina Realty offices will be drop sites for the annual food drive.
The city of Chanhassen has announced winners of a photo contest in 2009 designed to showcase pictures of what makes living in Chanhassen so special. Photographers were encouraged to submit images of people, events, and nature in Chanhassen. The results are here.
Ice-fishing shelters must be removed from inland waters no later than midnight Monday in the southern two-thirds of the state, and March 15 in the northern third.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will present “The Spring Trunk Show II: Art of Tree Transformations,” opening March 19 and continuing through May 2.
This “trunk” show encompasses some 20 large and small wood turnings created by talented Edina artisan Virgil Leih.
