Fergus Falls won the game 3-2 in the 11th inning, as Alex Conboy singled in Ben Brimhall. Detroit Lakes tied the game with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, thanks to a two-run single by Matt Olson that scored Terry Haus and Phil Kirchner. The tournament continues at Shakopee and Chaska with Class C action on Friday night. Cubs pick up help for state-title runAugust 12, 2008 - 4:35pm — ChanHawkThe Chaska Cubs are a strong team made up of veterans and young players - guys who can do it all, and many who fill small-but-important roles. But now that the state amateur baseball tournament is near, the team will have some help. The Cubs drafted three players for the state-tournament run from the Section 3B pool: Shakopee pitcher Tim Theis, Victoria catcher Erik Winegarden and Green Isle pitcher Matt Breyer.
